He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Mires and Catherine Mires (Schnell); his siblings, Katherine Getz, Lottie Cox and Herbert Mires; and his great grandchild Marissa Hetrick.
He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Newman of Leo. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
