He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskell "Junior" Barnes and Amy "Myrt" Barnes-Baker (Bowman); his sister Sandra Johnson; and his stepfather James Baker. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Barnes (Applegate); his daughters, Stephanie McNeil (Christopher) and Samantha Jo Harrison; and his grandchildren, Eva Grace Dean, Ema Jo Dean, Judah Layne Barnes, Maely Jo Harrison and Hank Thomas Harrison.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Liberty Church Cemetery (9721 N Liberty Hollow Rd, Gosport, IN 47433).
