Harold L. Huffer Obituary

Harold L. Huffer, age 85, of Gosport, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022, at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born in Mulberry, IN on January 20, 1937, the son of Charles & Irene (Dunham) Huffer.

He worked at Indiana Bell Telephone for several years then went on to be a laborer for a few more years before becoming a business owner with his wife, Linda. They were the owners and operators of Black Bear Trading Post and would travel to flea markets in Indiana and Arizona for several years. He enjoyed raising their dairy goats, gardening, woodworking and working with leather to make different crafts and items to sell.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda L. Huffer of Gosport; son, Dusty (Patty) Huffer of Flora; sister-in-law, Shirley Huffer of Mooresville; two step daghters and several nieces and nephews as well as close friends, Jacque Shepherd and Tammy and David McMillian who were like family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Edith Alexander and brothers, Paul Huffer, Wilbur Huffer and Marvin Huffer.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will follow at Hudson Hill Cemetery in Gosport.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00PM until the time of service.
