It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Showalter of Goshen, Indiana, born in Mishawaka, Indiana, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Schweisberger and Elsie Schweisberger (Foeckler); her spouse H. Dale Showalter; and her siblings, Evelyn Walker, Joyce Nelson, Robert, Gerald and Cecil Schweisberger.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Showalter (Lee Barker) of Elkhart, Jeffrey Showalter (Paula) of Syracuse, Patricia Kaska of Mishawaka and Paula Stanage (Vince Doyle) of Goshen; her grandchildren, Cory Showalter (Jessica) of Zionsville, Timothy Showalter (Susan) of Austin, Broc Stanage (Megan) of Noblesville, Jonathon Showalter (Sara) of Brownsburg and Tyler Stanage (Anabel Guedan) of London, England.; her great grandchildren, Elijah, Evan, Bryn, Lila Showalter, Lillian Stanage, Cecilia Showalter, Rhett Stanage, Lewis Showalter and Adriana Stanage Guedan; and her sister Phyllis Sterchi of South Bend.
