He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Christophel and Ruth Christophel (Kauffman). He is survived by: his children, Karen Hostetler (David) of Goshen, Douglas Christophel (Kristine) of Bridgewater and Daniel Christophel of Grantsville, Maryland; and his siblings, Robert Christophel (Lorraine) of Kalamazoo, Eldon Christophel of Battle Creek, David Christophel (Carol) of Zealand, H. Levon Christophel of Sarasota, Joseph Christophel (Linda) of Goshen and Paul Christophel (Brenda) of Hesston, Kansas.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
