He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Barcus and Marjorie I. Barcus (Dilling); his in-laws, Arthur and Mildred Shull; his sister Phyllis; and his brothers-in-law, Louie Brown and Steven Shull.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Evelyn; his daughters, Jennifer Barcus Snider (Clayton) and Debra Miller (Brandon); his grandchildren, Ryan, Ben Snider, Allison and Greg Miller; and his sister-in-law Janice Shull.

Memorial donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Robert G and Mary Evelyn Barcus scholarship at Manchester University or to Waterford Crossing in Goshen.
