It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Charles Smith of Goshen, Indiana, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on July 4, 2022, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jerry Lee and Ellen Kaye Smith (Thomas); his children, Alyssa Lynn Smith (Jason Hardacre) of Warsaw and Michael Alan Joseph Smith of Goshen; his grandson Maddox Ryley Hardacre of Warsaw; his fiancé Christy Ratliff; his partner's son James of Ligonier; and his sister Candice Ann Smith (William Borntrager).

Memorials may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
