He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius H. Warkentin and Pauline Warkentin (Wurfel); his siblings, Elvira Hershberger and Henry Warkentin; and his son-in-law David Strycker.
He is survived by: his children, Byron Warkentin (Connie) of Elkhart, Jon Warkentin (Bettina) of Nashville, Tennessee, Karlin Warkentin (Joanne) of Bradenton, Florida and Andrea Strycker of South Bend; his brothers, David Warkentin (Pam) of Ottawa, Ontario and Rudy Warkentin (Donna) of Port Elgin, Ontario; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Warkentin of Lion's Head, Ontario and Paul Hershberger of Goshen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Mennonite Central Committee-Ukraine Emergency Response or Goshen Health Home Care and Hospice.
