She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelious Miller and Catherine Miller (Yoder); her daughter Rhonda K. Fox (Lichty); her grandson Jesse Skipper; and her brother Maurice Miller.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph Lichty; her children, Steven Wayne Lichty (Lou Ellen) of Oakland, Maryland and Danelda "Dee" Lichty of Goshen; her son-in-law Kevin Fox of Dayton, VA; her grandchildren, Justin Lichty (Olivia), Travis Lichty (Mackenzie Edwards), Danny Fox and Bethany Fox; her great grandchildren, Jadyn Skipper, Ian Skipper, Kiara Lichty and Madeline Lichty; her siblings, Alma Grace Slaubaugh of Kalona, Iowa and John Miller (Rachel) of Lawrence, Kansas; and her sister-in-law Susan Miller of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant View Church (58529 Co Rd 23, Goshen, IN 46528). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gortner Union Church.
Mary Ellen Lichty, 88, died Saturday, December 28, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family, following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
