It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lela Evaleen Bertsche of Goshen, Indiana, who passed away on February 3, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Herman Bachman and Irma Countryman Bachman; her children, John David (Wilma) of Goshen, Janeen Bertsche Johnson (Barry) of Goshen and Brian (Diane) of Mottville, MI; her grandchildren, April Bertsche, Wendy Romanko (Kyle), Roger Bertsche, Hannah Johnson-Gay (Scott) and Aaron Johnson (Kim); her great grandchildren, Riley, Trenton, Layla, Addison, Camden, Teydren, Konner, Grayson, Kyla, Byron and Rosa Moosbrugger Schaiden of Bezau, Austria; her siblings, Ermaleen Etter of Mechanicsburg, PA, Fred Bachmann of Kalona, IA and Ed Bachman (Jan) of Agency, IA; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Anne Moser of Bluffton, OH, Jerry (Nita) of Atlanta, GA, Joe (Judy) of Chenoa, IL and Bob (Jody) of Aurora, CO. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bluffton University, Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Camp Friedenswald, or the World Friendship Center of Hiroshima.
