It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lauretta Jean Hoover of Goshen, Indiana, born in New Paris, Indiana, who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey W. Ramer and Selina Ramer (Martin); her son Devon Alan Hoover; and her brother Merle Ramer. She is survived by: her husband Clarence Hoover; her children, Diana Wenger (Andrew), Lila Graber (Wendell), Sault Ste, Linda Herschberger (Lowell) of Brooklyn, NY, Beth Lechlitner (Thad), Andrea Martin (Jerald) and Laurie Hoover of Ephrata, PA; her siblings, Ivan Ramer (Rachel) of Red Lake, ON, Keith Ramer (Teri), Judy Martin (Elam) of Richland Center, WI, Charlotte Martin (Verlin) and Charles Ramer (Cathy); and her sister-in-law Berdine Shirk (Paul). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.

“In loving memory of Lauretta Jean Hoover, my aunt. Lauretta was a brave lady and a survivor. I am sad for all of you, but glad that she is home in heaven. Lauretta and Clarence and all my cousins made us feel so at home on their farm. I always enjoyed the times we spent there. I remember helping to load hay bales, feed calves and milk cows. Lauretta always worked so hard. She made dresses for the girls when she wasn't cooking meals or working in the barn. Enjoy your rest, Aunt Lauretta!”
