He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Potter and Marie LaMunyon; his wife Flora Mae "Tuttie" Musser; and his siblings, Bud LaMunyon and Leona Richie.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Coyne (Christopher) of Goshen, Terry Wert (Dale) of Goshen and John Potter Jr. (Denise) of Goshen. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to the Goshen Salvation Army.
