He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Prough and Nellie Prough (Swinehart); and his siblings, Arlowene Lambert, Jay, Charles and Bob Prough.
He is survived by: his spouse Roanne Hout; his children, Kathy Taft (Steve) of Goshen, Karla Burke (Michael) of Old Lyme, Connecticut, Sam Prough of Goshen and Jeff Prough of Syracuse; and his sister-in-law Ramona Prough of Goshen. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
