She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Bowen and Ada Bowen (Magnolina); her husband William Shively Sr.; her daughter Carolyn S. Shively; her granddaughter Loretta Troxell; her half-sister Helen Hardesty; and her stepbrothers, Carlton Van Nuys and Charles Van Nuys.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Miller (Herman) of Syracuse and William Shively Jr. (Lynn) of Syracuse. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great grandchildren.
