He was predeceased by: his mother Anna Rugg (Bontrager); and his sons, Steven and Shawn Bontrager. He is survived by: his wife Fern Cameron (Coons); his son Jason Bontrager of Syracuse; his stepdaughters, Jennifer Mikel (Stacey) of Goshen, Stephanie Tylor (Bart) of Milford, Renee Carter of Athens, Georgia and Michelle Oswald of Goshen; and his siblings, Judy Darr (Terry) of Shipshewana, Dixie Butler of Goshen, Helen Rugg of Goshen, Sally Moore (Vernon) of Goshen, Dennis Rugg of Florida and William Rugg of Goshen. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home (1911 S Main St, Goshen, IN 46526). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
