He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney Rhodes and Maude Rhodes (Sheets); his wife Lois Hanlin; his siblings, Mae Connelly, Harold, Hazel, Clarence, Denzel, Willard and Rodney Rhodes; and his granddaughter Leslie Coffman (Craig).

He is survived by: his children, Barbara Kusinitz of Erie, Colorado and Roy Rhodes (Letty) of Goshen; his grandson Michael Rhodes; and his great grandchildren, Anna and Lillian Coffman.
