He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Stoltzfus and Lydia Stoltzfus (Bontreger); his wife Paula F. Handrich; and his daughter Bethany Stoltzfus. He is survived by: his children, Eric Stoltzfus (Ruth) of Goshen and Robin Beachy of Thame, England; his grandchildren, Heidi Stoltzfus McHugh (Michael), Gretchen Stoltzfus Paulovich (Jon), Eliya, Nicolas, Yosef and Alex Beachy; and his siblings, Lee Stoltzfus (Walda) of Muskegon, Michigan, Katie Burkholder of Kentucky and Betsy Oaks of Fairview, Michigan.. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
