He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Schlabach and Vivian Schlabach (Johns); and his siblings, Ruth Shaum, Eudean Broni, Richard, Theron and Dale Schlabach.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Wenger; his children, Lyn Buschert (John) of Goshen, Steven Schlabach of Goshen and Patty Nofziger (Bruce) of Goshen; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Buschert (Guilhem Ribeill) of Boston, MA, Andrew Buschert of Rochester, NY and Daniel Buschert (Hannah Bachman) of Goshen; and his sister Arleta Kilmer of Goshen. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
