He is survived by: his parents, Michael Schaefer and Patt Schaefer (Robinson) of Dallas; his wife Kelli Elrod; his daughter Tatum Schaefer of Floyd Knobs; his sister Tara Jones (Mike); his nephews, Ethan of Dallas and Kolton Jones of Dallas; his aunts, Pat Harvey, Judy Lewis of Elkhart and Teri Robinson of Marietta, Georgia.; his mother-in-law Dessie Harley; his stepdaughter Brittni Fitzsimmons (James); and his stepgrandchildren, Lorenzo, Lennox and Arya. He is also survived by numerous friends and co-workers who mourn the loss of a true friend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana.
