He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester D. and Mary B. Pierce (Frain); and his granddaughter Melody Gangwer. He is survived by: his wife Susan R. Walton; his son Preston Gangwer of Topeka, IN; his stepchildren, Brandy Cavanaugh (Lachlan) of Goshen and Christopher Radar (Kristina) of Andrews, IN; and his siblings, Webb, Basil, Brandt, Tela Pierce, Taneeka Hagewood, Nila Tucker, Tawanda Miller and Nateeka Clawson (Skeeter).
