He was predeceased by: his father Leroy Tanksley; and his brother-in-law Paul Younts. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Jo Tanksley (Sturgeon); his close friend Cindy Fee; his children, Christopher Tanksley (Jennifer) and Krista Tanksley; his sisters, Kathy L. Younts (Ray Barrows) and Connie Tanksley Lay (Randy); and his grandson Garrett Tanksley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
