He is survived by: his children, Rosetta "Rose" Tanksley of Glenwood, Debra Padgett of Connersville, Shawn Hardy of Rushville, Edward J. Derringer (Sonya) of Glenwood, Joseph R. Derringer of Richmond, Robert Derringer and Scott Miller. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother in laws and sister in laws; and many friends.
