He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Buckley (Matney) and Dempsey T. Buckley; and his brothers, Charles, Richard, Tom and Dempsey Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Joy Buckley; his children, Lori McGowan (Danny) of Rushville, IN and Thomas "Randy" Buckley of Franklin, IN; and his brother Orville Buckley of Rushville, IN.. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grand child and several nieces & nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
