He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Robert and Floretta C. Rock Rice; and his grandson Byran Ruppe. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Burgenheim Rice of Georgetown, IN; his children, B. J. Rice (Tracy Owens) of Georgetown, IN, Heather Weiss (Jerry) of Palmyra, IN, Michelle Snelling (Richard) of Lanesville, IN and Kimberly Benton (Mike) of Indianapolis, IN; his sisters, Linda Waynescott of Georgetown, IN, Sandy Edelen (Lenny) of Ramsey, IN, Pam Dean (Charles) of New Washington, IN and Karen Rice of New Albany, IN; and his pet Chewey. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
