She was predeceased by: her husband Don Carter; her daughter Susan Laurence; her aunt Maggie Thomas; and her brothers, Otis, Jim and Boyd Sharp.

She is survived by: her daughter Carole Ann Lash (Joe); her grandchildren, Josh Laurence, Justin Laurence, Katherine Lash Willis (John) and Stephen Lash; her great grandchild Annie; her nieces, Sally Hallas and Lisa McDonald; and her siblings-in-law, Larry Carter (Brenda) and Carolyn Carter.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hosparus Health of Louisville.
