She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Herthel and Elma Meriwether Herthel; her husband Jack Backherms; her daughter Jacqueline; and her brother Ray Herthel.
She is survived by: her daughter Joanne Knable (Nick) of Sellersburg Indiana; her granddaughters, Chelsea Stout (Zach), Alissa Bennett (Solomon) and Bailey Knable (Jared Santana); and her great grandchildren, Xavier, Xander Stout and Shiloh Bennett.
