He was predeceased by: his parents, Marietta Mooney and Al Mooney; and his son Tim Mooney. He is survived by: his wife Marie "Hap" Mooney; his sister Mary Kracha (John); and his children, Laura Meyer (Mike), Larry Mooney (Jan), Jane Wease (Terry), Mary Ellen Routin (Paul) and Nancy Mooney. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, monetary donations be given to Honor Flight Bluegrass and the American Red Cross, or a blood donation be given in his honor.
