He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Lee and Mildred Elizabeth Melton. He is survived by: his wife Doris; his daughter Kelli Temple (Bryan); his grandchildren, Jarod, Jordan and Brayli; his sister Patricia Nordhoff (Ralph); and his niece Theresa Nordhoff.
