He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Simpson and Elizabeth Simpson (Williams); and his sister Betty Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Carol S. Simpson; his children, Cheryl Simpson Fekete (John), Scott Simpson and Glenn Simpson (Teresa); his grandchildren, Kyle Fekete (Stephanie), Amy Fekete Webber (Eric), Erin Goodman Naiser (Nick), Justin Goodman (Monica) and Amanda Simpson Haas (Kip); and his great grandchildren, Cole, Olivia Fekete, Eli, Luke Webber, Sterling, Aleena Naiser, Oliver and Olivia Goodman.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 319 Browns Ln.
