He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Carlton and Arthur Carlton; and his siblings, Arthur, Ray, Tommy, Gene Carlton and Kathryn Patricia Pradke.
He is survived by: his children, Kristi Latoz (Kevin) of Georgetown, Brad Carlton (Donna) of Georgetown and Duane Carlton (Ange) of Georgetown; the mother of his children Judie Carlton; his grandchildren, Lucas James Latoz of Catlin, Levi Chandler Latoz of Chicago, Jarret Lee Carlton of Olivet, Joshua Bradley Carlton of Terre Haute, Kyle James Carlton of Georgetown and Haley Alayne Carlton of Georgetown; his sisters, Peggy Nippe (Robert) of Normal, Ruby Collins of Michigan and Rosemarie Carlton-Darby of Danville; and his close friend Carolyn Hummel.
Memorial contributions can be made out in Jim's honor to a charity of the donor's choosing.
