He was predeceased by: his parents, McKinley Raymond and Juanita Lee Strong; and his daughter Jennifer Strong. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Harlow Strong of New Salisbury, IN; his children, Michael Strong (Christina) of Louisville, KY and Rebekah Strong (Larry) of Clarksville, IN; his siblings, Danny Strong (Sharon) of Suffolk, VA and Barbara Gubich (Ed) of Bethlehem, PA; his grandchildren, Shelby Kerr (Cody Lee Kerr), Cody Michael Strong (Brianna), Caleb Dailey, Makala, Jordin and Jazmyn Hibbard; and his great grandchildren, Brantley, Brayden, Mason, Bristol Kerr and Madilyn Strong. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that memorial gifts in lieu of flowers be made to VFW 1693.
