With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bertha Johnson of Georgetown, Indiana, born in Depauw, Indiana, who passed away on May 23, 2021 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ora Harriet and Robert Evaline of Palmyra, IN; her husbands, Robert U. Zurschmiede and Leroy Thomas Johnson; her daughter Shirley Rae Perry; her children-in-law, Gary Alan Perry and Anita Rainbolt Zurschmiede; her grandson Thomas Eric Perry; and her siblings, Lucille McCutcheon (Bud), Mary Helen Evaline, Lottie Agnes Ayres, Margaret Ann Hoffman (Merrill), Clyde Evaline (Clara), Chester Evaline (Blanche), Marvin Evaline (Martha), Wilbur Evaline (Hazel) and Bruce Evaline (Dorothy).
She is survived by: her children, William Robert Zurschmiede (Evelyn) of New Albany, Marvin Edward Zurschmiede (Elizabeth) of El Paso, TX and Lorna Sue Harold (Richard) of Silver Spring, MD; her grandchildren, Kevin Zurschmiede (Beverly), Kelly Brown (Brian) of New Albany, IN, Matthew Zurschmiede (Louise) of Windsor, CA, Kristine Perry (Scott) of Saratoga Springs, NY and Mark Zurschmiede (Jeanette) of El Paso, TX; her great grandchildren, Joshua Perry, Dylan Perry, Ashley Brown, Allison Brown, Julia Brown, Kimberly Perry, Brooklyn Sommer (Carl), Treasure Anne Perry and Cameryn Zurschmiede; and her great great grandchildren, Liliana Dodd and Magnolia Sommer.
