She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard and Ruby; her husband Joe Sayre; her daughter Vicky Sayre; her grandson Kerry Hatfield; and her sister Carolyn Hiser.

She is survived by: her daughter Karen Collins (Brent); her grandchildren, Duell Hatfield, Reese Collins and Trace Collins; her siblings, Billie Joan Burkett, Marilyn Scales and William Scales (June); and her close friends, Gloria Ryan, Jane Ellen Niccum and Carolyn Duckworth. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor's choice in memory of Rita.
