He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Helm and Frances Helm (Ayres); his wife Nancy Helm (Thornburg); and his brother Robert Helm. He is survived by: his children, Kara Kinsey (Brad) of Gaston, Marci Reno (Jeff) of Gaston and Eric Helm (Shanna) of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Cory, Michael, Casey, Mace, Drake, Chloe, Marah, Joshua, Elijah and Emma Grace; his great grandchildren, Zacariah, Cameron, Layla, Cooper and Emersyn; his siblings, Betsy Bowmer (Ron) of Muncie and William Helm (Jean) of Colombia City; and his close friend Daniel Phillips.
