He was predeceased by: his parents, Arley Bennett and Arvada Bennett; his granddaughter Sarah E. Smith; his son-in-law Scott Riddle; and his siblings, Betty Sue Smith, Jack Bennett and Larry Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Bennett; his daughters, Jerri K. Smith (Brian), Judy Vester (Mike) and Jennifer Riddle (Butch Terwiske); and his grandchildren, Luke Smith, Kathryn Smith, Megan Muller (Jeff) and Mischon Vester. He is also survived by three great-granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor's choice in memory of Jerry.
