She was predeceased by: her parents, Val Fights and Thelma Fights (Brown); and her siblings, Robert Fights, Virgil Fights, Rev. Howard Fights and Virginia Wright.
She is survived by: her husband Fred E. Black of Hartford City; her son Val; her daughter-in-law Linda Black of Hartford City; her granddaughter Ashley Chu (Nathan); her great grandchildren, Esther and Nora Chu; and her siblings, Alfred Fights of Upland, Janet Rector (Delmar) of Matthews, Beatrice Nash (Charles) of Marion and Patricia Gillespie of Muncie. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
