He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Wood and Edna Wood (Legg); his sister Pamela J. Obenchain; and his nephew James Lee Obenchain, II. He is survived by: his wife Karen S. Glass; his children, Wendi Gooley (Jim) and Walter Wood, II (Shelli); his grandchildren, Kyla Kelly (Shaun), Greer Cortes (Jose), Kaylinn Gonzales (Ramon), Macy Gooley, Reilly Gallogly, Walter L. Wood, III (Katie), Tommy Gooley (Genevieve) and Sean L. Gallogly; and his great grandchildren, Brylie, Rose, Rory, Mila, Isabella, Sofia, Mia, Lucia, Colette, Lawson and Margot.
