With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Solms of Gas City, Indiana, who passed away on November 17, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Solms and Mamie M. Solms (Burns); his siblings, Edward Solms and Mary Scheiber; his stepson Jason Pursley; and his daughter-in-law Megan Upshaw.
He is survived by: his wife Betty (Smith); his children, Joe Solms (Bobbie) of Fairmount, Kathi Solms of Fairmount, Michael Solms (Mary Jane) of Fairmount, Stefanie Ratliff (Rusty Whitton) of Fairmount and Danny Solms (Layla); his grandson Aaron Solms (Shelly); his great grandchildren, Brant, Brody and Cole; his children, Lillie, Lila and David Haisley (Katy); his grandchildren, Cadence, Landyn and Sarah Conner (Brandon); his great grandchild Harper; his grandchildren, Eric, Colin Solms, Tyler, Birdie, Zoie Ratliff, Jacob and Chloe Solms; his great grandchild Jame (Laura); his brother Joe Solms of Colorado Springs; and also, Alex, Arie, Megan, Joy Sloan (Craig) of Austin, TX, Cassie, Kaleb, Kim Wolownik, Tyler, Sean, Emma of Paw Paw, Michigan and Eleanor Fyffe (Dave) of Greenwood.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship of Christian Farmers International or the Salvation Army in care of the funeral home.
