It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Franklin D. Leist (Gas City, Indiana), born in Greencastle, Indiana, who passed away on March 9, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward and Mabel May Leist (Foy); and his siblings, Charles Jr., Dallas, Revia, Genevia and Rosemary.
He is survived by: his spouse Mary Ellen; his children, Darwin D. Leist (Sandy), Lapel, Daryl E. Leist (Mary Croucher), Marion, Darren L. Leist (Laurie), Montpelier and Dina R. Leist; his siblings-in-law, Robert Powers and Ann Cavanaugh (Butch); his pet Precious; and his friends, Jim Richards, Owen Gilbert and Larry Leach. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
