He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. Gillespie and F. Louise Gillespie (Craw); and his sister Chicann Knepsheld. He is survived by: his close friend Debra Gregory; his brother Gary Gillespie (Rita) of Bunker Hill; his brother-in-law Kenneth Knepsheld; his grandchildren, Tori Galloway of Bloomington, Alexis Cretsinger of Indianapolis, Ellyssa Lewis of Summitville, Alex Cretsinger of Summitville, Zander Gillespie of Fairmount, Logan Gillespie of Fairmount and Avery Gillespie of Fairmount; his stepdaughters, Holly Wilson (Ed) of Fort Wayne and Cherry Gregory of Gas City; his stepgrandson Austin Phillips of Gas City; his great grandchildren, Finn Phillips and Maci Kay Phillips of Gas City; and his nieces and nephews, Melissa Cly (Chip), Jean Knepshield, Leigh Ann Gill (Don), Heath Gillespie (Emily) and Shane Gillespie (Heather).
