He is survived by: his parents, Fred Pace and Lois Pace; his children, Debra Dowdell, Wilma Hawkins, Clifford Dowdell and Brenda Jones (Billy); his significant other Isclean Hunter; his son Pervis Hunter; his grandchildren, Toni Hawkins, JaNaye Reed, Mishell Gordon, Billy Jones and Derrick Jones (Delbia); his sister Florence Ezell; his stepbrothers, John Card, Author Card, Dexter Card, Richie Card and Louise Card; and also Willie James. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren.
