He was predeceased by: his parents, Matias Guzman and Concepcion Guzman; and his siblings, Antonio "Tony", Joseph, Francisco "Pancho", Matias, Jesus Guzman and Elena.

He is survived by: his wife Sara; his children, Ruben Guzman, Jr. (Jane), Adrian Guzman (Marcie), Gregory Guzman, Guadalupe Lopez (Henry) and Ruth Felix; his grandchildren, Sara, Ricky, Vanessa, Jacob Lopez, Alejandra, Adrian "Chino", Jr., Andres Guzman, Sergio Felix, Jr., Jocelyn, Greg, Jr., David, Levi and Liana Guzman; his great grandchildren, Ricky, Jr., Viviana and Jeremy; and his sister Rafaela Sanchez.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN. (FACE MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED LIMITED TO 25 PEOPLE AT ONE TIME).
