He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland King and Lula King; his wife Irene King; his siblings, Cleveland, Eddie, Emily, Eugene, Oswald, Cora, Louis and Richard; his son-in-law James Denson; and his granddaughter Kamille.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Denson, Robert King, Jr. and Kevin King; his brother Henry King (Mary); his grandchildren, Donta Denson, Sr., Sherard Denson (Marie), Domonique King, Ryan King, Khobi Price, Kameron King and Karter King; his great grandchildren, Donta Denson, Jr. (Celon), Alphonso Denson, Darius King, MaKayla Denson, Ellis Denson and Reese Denson; and his goddaughter Niyeshia Shaw. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Baptist Church (2457 Massachusetts St, Gary, IN 46407). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 12:00 PM at the same location.
