He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramey Edward Bayne and Jessie Vetruse Bayne (McClain); his wife Ruth Bayne (Coffey); and his siblings, Donald E. Bayne, James M. Bayne and Josephine Bird.

He is survived by: his sons, David E. Bayne (Joyce) of Georgia, Danny L. Bayne of Shelbyville, Donald J. Bayne of California and Dennis E. Bayne (Teresa) of Greenwood; and his sisters, Joy Marie Maltby of Taylorsville and Judy VanArsdale of Washington. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
