He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Debra Akers (Jeff), Robert McFarland, Jr. and Ronald McFarland (Tami); his grandchildren, Heather Tucker (Danny Mom), Ashlee Sheckles (Billy), Andrew McFarland (Lindy), Shaun McFarland, Nathaniel Akers and Garrett; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Alex Sheckles and Lillian McFarland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
