It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtis L. Stearnes (Gary, Indiana), who passed away on June 27, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George Lee Stearnes; her parents, Dewey Smith and Mabel Smith; and her brother Dewey Smith, Jr. (Francis). She is survived by: her daughter Linda Eller (Keith) of Merrillville, Indiana; her granddaughters, Joi-Lyn Eller of Belleville, MI and Keisha Eller-Price (Darzel Jr.) of Merrillville, Indiana; and her great grandchildren, Nyla-Kerrington and Jordyn-Klaire Price of Merrillville. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
