She was predeceased by: her husband Marcus Garvey Blackmon; her parents, William Harris and Elizabeth Harris; her siblings, Margaret, Everee, Amos, William Robert and Frank; and her stepdaughter Betty.
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Howard of Gary, IN; her granddaughter Tanisha Howard of Louisville, KY; her sister-in-law Lena Harris of Gary, IN; her stepdaughter Joyce Abrams of East Chicago, IN; and her son-in-law Kenneth Fletcher (Alicia) of Frankfort, IL.
