She was predeceased by: her parents, Deacon Enis Hartley and Mary E. Hartley (Howard Ross, Sr.); her daughter Bernice J. Lee Walker; her sisters, Dorothy Page (John), Esther Russell (William), Ruth A. Grant (Celias), Mattie Yellets (Ralph) and Louise Carroll (Harold); and her grandson James Comer.
She is survived by: her children, Ernestine Johnson (Calvin), Sheryl Anne Badgett of Indiana, William Ross (Kathryn) of Georgia, Lawrence Ross of Florida and Howard M. Ross, Jr. of Texas; her sisters, Pearl Carter and Viola Murphy of Pennsylvania; and her grandchildren, Edwin Ross, Tamara Robinson, Tonya Roberts, Lasandra Ross, Roy Lee III, Sherry Lee, Denise Lee, Taletha Lee, Tameka Lee, Timothy Ross, John Paul Ross, Ciara Ross, Kathy Ross, Lawrence Ross II, Destin Ross and Makhi Ross.
