She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Shorts and Alma Coleman Shorts; her husband Jimmie Johnson; and her brothers, Fleming "Boe" Shorts, Joseph "Fat" Holmes, Jacob "Jake" Washington, Clyde "Duke" Turner, Willie Turner, Albert Turner, Robert Shorts and Curtis Shorts.
She is survived by: her children, David Cummings, Claudia Buckingham, Donald Cummings, Dennis Cummings (Darla), Roger Cummings (Candis), Vicki Willis (Claude), Willa Randle (Frank) and Felix Willis; and her siblings, Brenda Rouse (Tony), Alma "Dale" Coleman McGee, Esau Washington, Johnny "Stormy" Coleman, Lee Andrew "Flip" Coleman, Cleandrew "Chopper" Coleman and Thomas Shorts. She is also survived by 4 stepchildren; 22 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
