It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeffie Johnson (Gary, Indiana), born in Montgomery, Alabama, who passed away on December 12, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Liptrot and Mary Jane Liptrot; and her siblings, Docie Rutherford, Jessie and George Liptrot.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Jessie N. Johnson of Valparaiso, IN.; her children, Harold Johnson (Annette) of Valparaiso, IN., Jesse Johnson (Jackie) of Gary, IN., Evelyn Sanders (Aaron) of Lawton, MI., Irma Oliver (Michael) of Valparaiso, IN., Linda Johnson of Gary, IN., Michael Johnson (Regina) of Cary and Glen Johnson (Brandy) of Merrillville, IN.; and her friend Lola Buckingham. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law.
